Best Hair Transplant Clinic in Turkey: A Checklist for Choosing

A shield with a checklist representing vetting a clinic

Rankings of the "best clinic in Turkey" are almost always paid placements. A checklist you can apply yourself is more useful than a ranking. Here it is.

1. Does the provider own the clinic?

Many intermediaries have no clinic of their own and rent operating rooms by the day. That is not illegal, but it means nobody is permanently accountable for hygiene, equipment and staff. Ask directly: is this your own clinic or is it rented?

2. Who performs the procedure?

In Turkey, medical technicians may carry out parts of the procedure under a doctor's supervision. What matters is which parts. Hairline planning and channel opening should sit with the doctor. Ask to be told who does what.

3. How many patients on the same day?

A careful 3,000-graft procedure takes six to eight hours. If a clinic runs several of those in parallel, attention per patient suffers.

4. Where does the graft number come from?

A serious number is based on an examination of donor density, not on a photo. If you are promised 5,000 grafts without an examination, that is a sales argument, not a medical assessment.

5. Is the price fixed in writing?

Before you fly, with a list of what it covers, and with no clause allowing renegotiation on arrival.

6. What is explicitly not included?

This question is more revealing than the list of inclusions. Commonly missing: check-ups after you return, PRP sessions in the following year, medication beyond the first pack.

7. Who is reachable during the first year?

Not "our team on WhatsApp", but a named role with defined response times.

8. Is there somewhere to go in your own country?

This is where providers differ most clearly. If the answer is that you should see your GP if in doubt, budget for that cost now.

9. How does the clinic handle criticism?

Do not only read the five-star reviews. Read the two- and three-star ones, and above all read the replies. How a clinic handles one unhappy patient tells you more than a hundred happy ones.

And if a clinic says yes to everything?

Then ask for the answers in writing. Anything promised on the phone and never documented does not exist if there is a dispute.

How we answer these nine points is set out on the procedure page and the pricing page. If something is not answered there, ask us directly.
